I read the reviews and bought the 1.5HP yo replace my 20 year old 1HP pool pump. After some PVC re-pipe and adding a 110 outlet, I fired it up after adding water to the basket as required for self priming. It worked great. Self primed and pumped just fine. But the flow of water might be even slightly less than my 1 HP pump. It works and I’m thrilled with the price but a little worried it may slow my heating a bit compared to my last pump. So for the price it is plenty good enough.
